I've read both of the articles linked below, and I think that the idea that we're "alone together" has a lot less to do with social media options than it does with late stage capitalism.

Disclaimer: I quit FB about a year ago and am currently trying to wean myself off of Twitter.

The forbidden words are "vulnerable," "entitlement," "diversity," "transgender," "fetus," "evidence-based" and "science-based."

It seems the vulnerable President felt his entitlement to try to erase diversity and transgender folks (whose who already exist) and the fetus of those who have yet to be born. There's no reason to do so and this evidence-based and science-based conclusion is that this President is a fuckwitt nincompoop deserving nothing but derision and scorn.
