another nice thing about spending all my time on mastodon, following politics sensitive folks who use CWs if they talk about it is that whenever I do go back to birdsite or check the news generally, I'm actually *upset* by it again.

For a while after the US election and Inauguration I couldn't handle the news much, and after awhile it sort of dulled because I was so inundated with it.

Having a safe harbor here, I actually feel outraged again when I read the news
