@CobaltVelvet sure np. @0x11de784a was mentioning it, I just confirmed they were not working ;)

@0x11de784a @CobaltVelvet Aaaah sorry, thought you were talking about the pictures/avatars.

No indeed, they don't work. Get a 404 on the first one, the others just timed out

@0x11de784a Yeah I remember this happening a few times so I'm not that worried. I'm sure @CobaltVelvet is already on the case.

But thanks for confirming this :)

It seems I cannot see any avatar, nor picture on my octodon.social instance.

Is it just me?

Just pre-ordered the vinyl of "Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 2", just because...

Damn you , it's way to easy to order and spend money over there!

Looking at upgrading my . I was thinking to pull the trigger on
- TS-451+
- red 3TB (x 4)

Should be ok for storage and server :)

@Alamantus Depends of the use-case.

If you want to persist it until the end of time => store that server side, within the user data

If that is just for practicality and across services => IndexedDB seems like the right choice.

IMO, this is just state so I would opt for option 2

@Myrkskog Yep, saw this one, pretty hilarious! ๐Ÿคฃ

The most must part is probably the last comment:

won't fix, sorry ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ

The beauty of open source:
31 comments and counting on how to translate in for

github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/

Spoiler alert: It's not going to end well

@keithpp Well then, it was not clear to me from your post.

Regarding the implementation, I cannot see how to improve this. But hey, that's an open source project, fell free to open a PR and contribute to it. Also, opening an issue on GitHub would be more valuable to the community than a post on medium as it will create a discussion ๐Ÿ˜‰

@keithpp Granted, it could be clearer in the docs and the project's about page.
But you're article seems to suggest that the whole concept of decentralised service is an issue for the user which I do not agree with. At least, that's me perception.
