@keithpp While I understand that the way #mastodon works can be confusing, the concept between #twitter and #mastodon are different so the "ID issue" is a non-issue => you just need to understand that the instance you are registered on *is part of your ID* (which is also why there is no need to *verify*, just spin up your instance with your domain, it will therefore be you)
Once this concept is integrated, every thing will make more sense
@keithpp Granted, it could be clearer in the docs and the project's about page.
But you're article seems to suggest that the whole concept of decentralised service is an issue for the user which I do not agree with. At least, that's me perception.
@tbouron I do not have a problem with a distributed system, and I make that clear. I do have a problem with implementation, I can see the problems that are going to arise and why, and are suggesting these be resolved.
@keithpp Well then, it was not clear to me from your post.
Regarding the implementation, I cannot see how to improve this. But hey, that's an open source project, fell free to open a PR and contribute to it. Also, opening an issue on GitHub would be more valuable to the #mastodon community than a post on medium as it will create a discussion 😉
@tbouron Work in progress. Problems that need resolving.
@tbouron I fully understand how it works. Which is why I describe it as problem that must be addressed.
