He literally just turned his head and ran his hand through his hair
That moment when you look up from Tusky and there is a bespectacled stubbly god in a button-down and tight jeans standing right in front of you
I'm thinking of making carnitas and a Dutch baby. The food, not an actual little person.
Finally on my way home. Hellooooo, long weekend! ♥ kay tagal kitang hinintay. @ me with things to cook over the break
I really like that my therapist is next to a great cafe and cheap Thai food. Post-therapy therapy should be a thing. (is it a thing?)
If you like saying "a murder of crows" you will love "an unkindness of ravens"

Sometimes on the subway, I catch a glimpse of other people's remaining balance on their transit cards. I'm blown away by those that have more than a hundred dollars loaded at one time. Who are you people? Teach me the secrets of adulthood, plz.
Also, flight choices: British Airways for a hundred bucks less, but no miles; Etihad, which is amazing and takes the same amount of time, but also no miles (no laptop either but I don't mind too much); or Turkish Airlines which is supposedly okay, gives me usable miles, and/but a 20 hour layover in Istanbul on my way home?
Feels like one of those "a wolf, sheep, and rabbit need to cross the river..." kinda riddles.
Boss just okayed my trip to NYC. I'll have to set aside time to network and work remotely, but I'll take it! I'd love recommendations on what to eat!
@annamariasocial doing great! Just got a note from my boss okaying a "work remotely" trip to NYC, so I'm really excited. You?
:stars: Random fact:
Opal is formed by silica deposits that are carried into cracks by water that then evaporate over time into different forms. Eventually entire bodies of organic matter can be replaced by opal if they meet the right conditions.

Reading a Verge article about a neural network that invents pick-up lines, and I have to admit, "You are so beautiful that you make me feel better to see you" kind of does make my heart tingly.

Also, your dose of random for today. A lot believe that what you have around you, attracts more of the same (hence the framed money to you see at some restaurants, or all the new year good luck stuff.) so it seems logical to combine mask, moisturization, and money to multitask.... Right?
Trying to head to NYC for a week in July, and just work remotely instead of giving up vacation days. Application with my boss today! Crossing my fingers. Wish me luck, Mastodon! (Tooters? I vote Tooters.)
TFW you get back to your flat and realize you've forgotten to buy the potato chips.
Hello from me and Lady Tortellini von Katzen, aka Toto. A wine, cat, and cake night for us
@tats i tried Liveship previously and didn't want Wintrow a enslaved so stopped I reading so it wouldn't happen 8-) i can also recommend Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea series (beautiful, fall into it and forget the real world) and China Mieville's Bas Lag series (echoes of Gormenghast) - The Scar is my favourite (ships, again) - oh, Ken Lui's Dandelion Dynasty (Grace of Kings (like a really long prologue) and Wall of Storms (wow!) so far)
I really like thoughtful design. Like this spoon!
