my father-in-law was born in the jungle, because his father was being hunted by the Japanese.
there's a bridge called “the red bridge” in Melaka, because the Japanese Kampeitai used the bridge for executions.
oh yes, why don't you defend an author who says that the Axis were supposed to win? please, let's hear this.
@tariqk and in Marvel, they gave it to their supposed beacon of light.
imagine that. we haven't even covered comfort women, the Burmese Death Rail...
all of that happened and got to get completed in Spencer's universe. isn't that nice?
@tariqk no, all of that happened in history and was included in a fictional story
"oh yes, why don't you defend an author who says that the Axis were supposed to win? please, let's hear this."
Are you confusing an author's political opinion and moral standing with a fictional character's, written by that author? Or did Spencer himself actually say something along those lines at some point? Genuinely curious.
@tariqk I'm sorry this happened to your step-father, but this has nothing to do with what we're talking about. the plot/logic of the story dictates that Cap believes in the effort to take over the world. it's not the author literally saying AXIS SHOULD'VE WON. NAZISM SHOULD BE ALIVE AND WELL. SE is not nazi/neo-nazi propoganda. if anything it's a warning a la 1984/brave new world about giving the wrong people absolute power
