the language patterns of 🇵🇭 telenovelas are so fascinating — they don't shy from code-switching, up to the point, i think, it becomes a class marker?
in comparison to 🇮🇩's sinetron, where the language is more casual, but less inclusion from English or other colonial languages
vs say 🇲🇾 dramas, where the language can become practically stilted or overtly-formal, unless you're Westernised (and immoral).
but fuck tho, they're showing women sleeping in hijabs now. that's stupid.
it's for 🇲🇾 tv dramas, btw. i mean, i don't think hijabs are bad, but you don't SLEEP in them. some of those hijabs use pins to hold themselves up. mad arrr, sleep with pins.
