thought i saw my home timeline booming with activity

turns out i was just in the fediverse tab

@taiz i don’t like a lot of police either, most of them are just people with a power complex who want to feel like they have something over other people. you really don’t have to act macho when you’re ticketing a guy for speeding

i think a lot of super liberal people have something against authority. i mean, a hatred for the police, government, those with wealth (and thus obtaining authority), and trying to “stick it to the man”. not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with that ideology, power corrupts. just look at any major social media site or dictatorship.

could be wrong here but it sounds like something from my psych class a little whole back

i think the reason birdsite is so toxic is because being extreme is rewarded, and there's entire communities dedicated to spreading it. here we have the fediverse so everyone can see what you're posting and call you out on your bullshit instead of just being surrounded by like-minded people

i love how i was the only one actually committing to it and everyone else was just kinda bored
