@starbreaker everyone’s using react now because facebook made it so it’s pretty much unavoidable
@starbreaker >web developers spend years pushing for people to use external stylesheets instead of messy inline styles
>react happens and just lumps html, css, and js all into a giant clusterfuck
you never realize how much you hate css until you start trying to work with it again
why care about political views when we're all just shitposters deep down

@gargron but then again that check would have to take place pretty frequently, and there's still the matter of it triggering an entire refresh when only some sockets need to reconnect
@gargron i'm not sure if you can detect it, unless the client periodically tried to get a response from the socket server? and if it couldn't obtain it, refresh the page? just throwing some ideas out, i'm kinda out of my domain here since the closest i've done to this is some socket.io with node

maybe if i played firered->heartgold->ruby->black->black 2->leafgreen->etc
this is definitely something on my bucketlist but playing through a pokemon game a second time to get a couple entries pains me a little but i want to do it legit
anyone ever considered getting a bunch of emulators and roms and actually completing the pokedex
@arlowrey it’d look something like
<div id=“progress-bar”>
<div id=“progress”></div>
</div>
@craigmaloney i feel bad for remote developers without the ability of relocating trying to make ends meet and ending up not being able to because of this
