@taiz @quad It has never even been a part of the federation. Tells you something about the nature of these blocklists.

@eal @quad that means it’s not even about filtering the federation, it’s about trying to silence them for believing in free speech. smh

@quad @taiz And I'm actually fine with that so long as you are clear about the goals of the instance. I joined a "general-purpose" one which later turned out to be a safe space. Sucks when you can't even see that someone replied to your post.

@taiz Find an instance that fits your views. I'd suggest niu.moe, if I didn't start my own I'd have joined that.

Then just export your follows on octodon and import them on the new instance.

@eal how do i export follows? i'll probably just (finally) move to @quad 's instance
