Anyone bemoaning how much the US gave away in the summit hasn't been paying attention to how Trump treats promises.

They're speed-bumps at best. Not guard-rails.

This has been circulating the birb-site. It's about specific adaptations Homo Sapiens has for persistence-hunting. Specifically, how we're engineered to chase our prey until they fall down from heat-prostration. This explains much of our psyche.

This is kind of disaster-waltzy, which is a style I'd like to write some time. But I also need to figure out the many and varied ways middle and upper-middle managers can make their displeasure known in a system with high communication lags.

Neighborhood party went well. It was sadly as white as expected. And we were the only non-het couple there. But no problems with us being there.

A neighbor has declared a party because they've been here 9 years and know just about no one. I'm going. I hope we're not the only non-het couple there. The odds are against it, but not impossible.
