US NIST SP-800-63B is FINAL. It includes this gem IN THE STANDARD:
Verifiers SHOULD NOT impose other composition rules (e.g., requiring mixtures of different

Verifiers SHOULD NOT require memorized secrets to be changed arbitrarily (e.g., periodically).

For those of you in Europe and don't have "at will" employment, this is a 'feature' of some US state employment laws. If the boss doesn't like you, they can fire you for no reason at all.
It also means you can grand-flounce without breaking labor laws (though employment contracts are another thing; any severance may be tied to two-weeks-notice).
