There is a US Federal standard used by all of our security agencies for sharing data. And not just US agencies, at least the UK has a compatible code for handling law-enforcement cooperation. I has a some *highly regrettable wording* in the SEX field. Here is how you can help.

This is the nerd-swastika. I know this isn't subtext, it's someone who wasn't offended by HydraCap thinking this would be a fun callback. I have made my displeasure known in several mediums, including the official feedback survey.

US NIST SP-800-63B is FINAL. It includes this gem IN THE STANDARD:

Verifiers SHOULD NOT impose other composition rules (e.g., requiring mixtures of different
character types or prohibiting consecutively repeated characters) for memorized secrets.

Verifiers SHOULD NOT require memorized secrets to be changed arbitrarily (e.g., periodically).
However, verifiers SHALL force a change if there is evidence of compromise of the
authenticator

Generic firing excuse number 1.

For those of you in Europe and don't have "at will" employment, this is a 'feature' of some US state employment laws. If the boss doesn't like you, they can fire you for no reason at all.

It also means you can grand-flounce without breaking labor laws (though employment contracts are another thing; any severance may be tied to two-weeks-notice).
