every time i checkout a go project and try to build it it fails

and i'm like, what am i doing wrong?

right

i had the audacity to put it somewhere on my disk and not into go's global filesystem hierarchy

@hirojin I've given up and taken to shipping any Go code with a Makefile that builds it in Docker. But that's really just a way of saying "see, you can build this if you get everything exactly correct"

@alicefromonline @hirojin That's the strategy used by wkthmltopdf, a C project. They create a CentOS chroot, and build a mostly-static binary in there. Most complex, and picky, build I've seen in a while.
