If I were stupid rich, my curtains would all automatically open half an hour before sunrise and close half an hour after sunset.

I slept for 10.5 hours last night and all is right with the world.

I hope you’re doing ok today, too.

Some days I have a hard time with the no-coffee thing.

maybe I can help you influence your lawmakers

I've started a private newsletter on substack where I share the letters I write to my elected officials in the US and Canada. If you want to use them as inspiration (or just copy paste them) to contact your own representatives, dm me your email.

facebook, signal

Getting people to switch to Signal was slow and frustrating, but whatever Facebook's done lately is making it a lot easier!

Suddenly everyone is like "what's that messaging thing you wanted me to use???"

I ordered a cheerful orange and yellow rug on the internet but it is actually the colour of dried blood and bile.

am i like the only person who remembers this nytimes.com/2004/10/17/magazin / archive web.archive.org/web/2020122100

T-Kay Sangwand: "the us wrote the damn playbook for coups in the global south. it's all documented in us archives" nsarchive.gwu.edu/search/node/

David A Bliss shared these digitized Latin American collections as a place to research what the US has done in Latin America: ladi.lib.utexas.edu/

Fast covid, change mask behaviour

In the past I’ve advised that is totally fine to walk around outside around other people sans mask.

It’s not clear yet if that’s still true for the new, more easily transmissible form of covid.

Mask up everywhere you’re around other people now. Hopefully we’ll learn otherwise soon, but let’s be cautious.
