cook some garlic and red chilli pepper flakes in oil. add a big can of chopped tomatoes and heat it up. Add some salt and a little bit of sugar then add a whole bunch of black olives, some capers and a couple tins of sardines. Break up the sardines and simmer for a bit. Eat with gnocchi or pasta. if you're fancy, add some fresh parsley

@susannah this recipe is great because none of the ingredients go bad - they're all stuff that lives in the cupboard.
unless you're using fresh parsley, which is nice but totally unnecessary.
it's also pretty healthy, forgiving, fast, and easy.
