@Fritillaria2 I'd love to try some. the only other bletted fruit I've had are (North American) persimmons and I love them.

the cultural stuff for medlars is amazing though. "rotten before they're ripe" but thoroughly delicious leading to their association with forbidden or frowned upon sex. plus the ass jokes - so good!
