Yesterday I had a stroll in a park here in #Milan and noticed a strange mound. It turned out to be artificial, with a 19th-century underground temple below it. Unfortunately it‘s not accessible and the only way to peek into it is from an oculus at the top, which is sealed off with a grating. I could not see the interior because the oculus was in the shade. I will bring a flashlight next time.
I love this kind of urban discoveries. Cities are truly full of hidden places.

@steko It's a little 19th-century temple embedded in a little mound in what used to be the garden of a private villa in Milan, and now it's in a public park. The temple has an oculus at the top, which is covered by a grating. I think there used to be a door, which is now sealed. You can see the photos in the toot I replied to with my update
