And elsewhere in the US, police departments coordinating with white supremacists?

We're dangerously close to full-on totalitarian as it is.

I read a few aphorism collections by Nietzsche as a teenager or twenty something. They’re great because each paragraph stands on its own and is controversial, weird, and it made me think – I mean I sometimes hated what Nietzsche was saying but having these mental arguments with a dead author, I loved that. And I loved his old school German.

Please don't just link us articles saying "make yourself feel better" or empty platitudes. It's just a reminder that we are broken and can't function.

Laws are made by people, and changed by people.

“It has to be like this because it’s the law” is ducking the question of whether the law is just, or should be changed.

My takeaway from all this was to never assume 100% compatibility between modern Linux and some ancient UNIX variant.
