I'm making good progress implementing JSON feeds in Pelican using a Jinja2 template. It's not that I really need a JSON feed when I already provide RSS and Atom, but doing JSON feeds is good practice for implementing an ActivityPub feed. :)

So, my website design is based on bettermotherfuckingwebsite.com and I want to release my Pelican setup as a starter repo in case anybody else might find it useful.

Naturally, I call it "Oedipus" and write in the README file:

"Build your own motherloving website using Pelican. Patricide optional."

They knew. The bastards knew all along what risks they were taking with other people's lives, and they didn't care because to them the end justified the means.

Changed my avatar again, this time to #art I commissioned from Filipino graphic artist and musician Harvey Bunda (http://www.harveybunda.com).

This is how he saw Naomi Bradleigh, one of the major characters in my Starbreaker stories and the protagonist of my last novel, Silent Clarion. She'll also be a protagonist my next novel, Shattered Guardian.

I was in the mood for some happy, vibrant progressive rock, and I remembered that I had Haken's 2016 album AFFINITY in my collection.

So I'm firing it up. You should listen to it, too. Its good stuff. It's a little like 80s Yes, but with better vocals and less self-indulgence. I can't imagine Haken's keyboard player ordering takeout in the middle of a concert, for example. :)

Rather than make people worry by using an avatar from Persona 3 (which looks like sui imagery but is actually about breaking through psychological barriers to unleash power within), I've decided that my avatar will be the cover of whatever album I happen to be digging this week or month.
