Free to a good home. Neutered, has current shots, needs pampering. Answers to "Smudge", "Butt Stallion", and "Pretty Princess" depending on mood.

It's again.

I'm doing some old school with the OneStepBack GTK theme, and I've got my terminal, conky, and cwm styled to match.

And I just lost my first game of HyperRogue on OpenBSD.

Changed my avatar again, this time to I commissioned from Filipino graphic artist and musician Harvey Bunda (harveybunda.com).

This is how he saw Naomi Bradleigh, one of the major characters in my Starbreaker stories and the protagonist of my last novel, Silent Clarion. She'll also be a protagonist my next novel, Shattered Guardian.

I was in the mood for some happy, vibrant progressive rock, and I remembered that I had Haken's 2016 album AFFINITY in my collection.

So I'm firing it up. You should listen to it, too. Its good stuff. It's a little like 80s Yes, but with better vocals and less self-indulgence. I can't imagine Haken's keyboard player ordering takeout in the middle of a concert, for example. :)

Smudge is not amused, but he won't stop licking himself raw.

Rather than make people worry by using an avatar from Persona 3 (which looks like sui imagery but is actually about breaking through psychological barriers to unleash power within), I've decided that my avatar will be the cover of whatever album I happen to be digging this week or month.

Right now, that's THE PLAGUE by Demon. There's a bit more about this album on my website at matthewgraybosch.com/blog/2018.
