I miss 4:3 computer displays.

@starbreaker You can model some with a little properly-placed duct tape

@filkerdave Not really. What I'd like is a 1920x1440 display, or better still a 2560x1920 display. I've come to find as a writer that vertical screen space is much more useful than horizontal.

@gme Tempting, but it uses nVidia hardware so OpenBSD is a non-starter. :)

@gme

> OpenBSD is for masochists.

True, but my wife would rather I used OpenBSD instead of seeing a dominatrix once a month. She's the jealous type. :)

@gme Well, Linus Torvalds couldn't hurt me the way I needed to be hurt.

With my 2560x1440 wide display at work, I end up having two 1280x1440 windows, which kind of defeats the widescreen point.

@hypolite True, but at home I could run tmux inside a full-screen xterm and get more vertical and horizontal splits out of a 2560x1440.

I can too but it's less convenient than a single 4:3 fullscreen window. I en up putting the MacOS dock on the left of my wide screen to maximize screen height.
