According to this, I'm one of the last members of #GenerationX, and my brother is one of the first #Millennials.
@jannamark I can, given that he was a neoliberal stooge preying on our audacity to hope he would live up to the hype. :)
That seems off. Obama was gen jones. We differ from boomers. (thank god)
@generica @starbreaker okay, I'm game, what's gen jones?
@starbreaker @generica That makes sense. Boomers are supposed to be part of the WWII post war baby boom, children of the so-called Greatest Generation.
When me and my husband came along, both of us had fathers in the Korean War, so we're children of the Silent Generation.
@starbreaker Well there is that, and obviously in any other country than ours, he would have run as a moderate conservative, and all that, but mostly, it's because I have been pinning my claim to being not a Boomer on Obama's birthday.
@starbreaker Same here!
@starbreaker generations are made-up and a marketing ploy
@trwnh Our entire fucking civilization is made up and a marketing ploy.
@starbreaker So, what's before the Silent Generation? Both my grandmothers were born before '28.
@KnotKnormal The article didn't say. Depression era, maybe?
@starbreaker I've heard of the Lost Generation, maybe that was them?
@starbreaker Great. I'm a fucking Millennial.
@starbreaker also according to that, our first #GenerationX president, Barack Obama, is a Baby Boomer. I'm sorry I can't accept that.
