Except that they kind of are in the context of exposing someone to an entirely new system that they may neither know about nor care about.
I view this as a similar situation to getting my friends to try GNU/Linux. Most people cannot stick with it because the experience is unfamiliar to them, and they can't run their preferred programs that they are used to.
