It's kinda tempting to buy a 512MB RAM stick and a 250GB SSD kit for my #iLamp, but then I'd have to take a screwdriver to it and fuck around with its internals, and I haven't done that in over a decade.
So, I won't yet. 256MB is enough, and I won't worry about replacing the 60GB hard drive until it craps out.
@bobstechsite I figure that if I do break down and buy the parts, I'll damn well find a computer shop that's willing to handle vintage macs.
Chances are they won't have cats trying to help.

iBooks/Powerbooks are much easier to upgrade imho. Just turn one screw, lift out the keyboard then everything slides in and out.
