Back in the day of Twitter's beginnings, you would see *everything* your friends posted directly in your timeline. That included replies to people you weren't following. Of course this doesn't scale, but it was an awesome way to find new, interesting people and also gave you a better idea on what your friends are interested in... I wish there was an option for that behaviour in #mastodon
Do you want to work on free and open source software as a full-time job? People ask me all the time how to find companies who might hire you for this, and I share this command line snippet:
git log -n100000 --format="%ae" | cut -d@ -f2 | sort -u | less
This will produce a list of email domains who are committing in a given git repo, which often corresponds pretty closely with the list of companies willing to hire you to work on that project and others like it.
now assuming I got my http://soup.io backup done in time. what then? where/how do you host years of collected memes, pics, nsfw material with dubious copyright status?
so http://soup.io is going down soon and everyone is trying to save their precious memories by hammering soup's potato server. who would have thought that this would happen if you tell 6 mio users that their thing is going away in 10 days.

I want to write small #golang tool which will use a few 3rd party modules. I will want to split my code in maybe a handful of short files. Can someone point me to a real example of that size for recommended dir layout?
