The other day, the BBC published photos taken by a pair of war photographers just as a mortar shell exploded, the one that killed them. I can't seem to get it out of my head. The photos aren't gory or anything, just really haunting.
@sungo I remember seeing that. It's just chilling thinking about how the person who took the photograph took a picture moments before her death and captured the explosion
@spaceman The photo taken by the standing photographer haunts me the most. The fireball hasn't actually impacted anyone yet but it's just about to.
@sungo yes the timing was just right. incredible they were able to recover an sd card from the debris
