The worst advocate work is having to advocate for yourself. No one wants to fucking listen.
This is why it is vital fro men to be leading the fight on abuse.
White people should be leading the fight for the rights of PoC.
Cis/straight people should be on the front lines advocating for the LGBTQ community.

My current stance is that Milan should be suspended or silenced from toot.cat (@ashkitten handled this yesterday) and I'm thinking about blacklisting for social.techncs.de due to its abysmally bad moderation practices (the latest of which is here: https://social.tchncs.de/users/milan/updates/70472)
FYI: Mastodon.Socials refusal to deal with harassment means my new account also gets flooded with harassers targeting me.
Women aren't safe because of this instance.
So much harassment flooded onto my Tumblr that I had to wipe it.
I just restarted the account, but nothing there. I'll maybe start it up again slowly. I don't know. I feel like I can't be anywhere anymore.
Question:
If so many men argue that the assholes are the minority, (NOT ALL MEN!!!) why do we never see giant groups of men flooding women's accounts with nice, respectful messages or support?
Why doesn't dogpiling get responded to by a flood of help? Where is the support for women being stalked and threatened? Where are y'all?
I have never in my life been overwhelmed by kindness. But men literally attempt (and often succeed) destroying my life on the daily.
Where are the "good guys"?
Discussion on IRC led to the following conclusions:
* Most tools on Mastodon for blocking are designed with "user runs their own instance" in mind
* Many of the most vulnerable elements of society can't afford to run their own instances, like trans people
* Tools for end-users are insuffiicent
* Existing silence vs suspend is woefully inadequate esp for "grey" instances where some users might be okay but not others
* Users are unable to really block domains

People say if we can pipe oil we can pipe water, but it takes a **LOT** more water to do anything than it does oil, so it isn't the same at all.

I don't know, white people. Have you been to a BLM meeting? Have you tried helping the SPLC? Have you contacted your local homeless shelters/places of worship/schools and asked what you can do to help? Have you read a damn book by a PoC this year?
Stop pretending like you can't know how to make shit better for PoC and instead get out there and figure it out.
You act like PoC are silent when they are screaming and you just aren't listening.
Take responsibility for what you do in this world.
