The new Father John Misty is touching some part of my soul that hurts.

And yet it feels good to just feel.

Looking forward to diving into the Octopath Traveler demo later this evening.

But then again, who am I kidding, I say this right now but I'll probably end up playing Binding of Isaac the second I load up my Switch b/c thats my go to game for destressing.

Is this something doctors still have? Would they eschew the modern smart-phone?

This is maybe an insane question but do some people still have beepers/pagers?

Trying to decide if I'm in the mood for SF or Fantasy. I just finished reading The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay, thinking I go into something more SF and space-opera-ish.

Our developers broke our entire system when they were making updates to our GDPR compliance and it's been nothing but a shit show for most of this month.

I feel for them as they're being worked to death to fix one problem while two more spawn in its place, but fuck, it's just made work the most stressful and annoying thing since.

Ugh.

Oooh boy.

Fully unplugging from twitter for the next few weeks. To get away from the constant nightmare fuel that it is, and also to give my one friend a bit of breathing room. She's on there and I've been using her as a crutch for emotional support. So letting her and that space breathe will be better for our friendship.

That this is something I have to worry and obsess about. But I'm not good for her this way.

So I guess I fight through it and work on myself to make myself better for her.

I hate that I'm this way.

I think I am almost ruining a friendship, my favourite friendship and person.

I've put a lot of emotional labour on her because of my mental health.

So I just sent her a letter telling her that I'm giving her a bunch of space and I'm staying away from her social media and texts and calling.

I think I need to figure out my own shit. I'm bad at this, but I'm going to fight hard to give her space so I don't ruin something I love.

But also, more power to you if it's your jam. Enjoy your fork knife. I just think there's a bit TOO much of it saturating the market.

I mean we have AAA games finally jumping on with CoD and Battlefield. I'm hoping that those modes just fade into the background, b/c I don't think we need MORE of this type of game. It feels infectious.
