I'm now 37 years old. Birthday was Wed. Birthdays are always a bit melancholy. Too many dark thoughts of what might have been or what I should have done with my life. Still don't feel like a proper adult. Not sure I ever will.
@sonicbooming Ah, the melancholy of birthdays. They've always been a major source of Mortality Feels ever since the year we got up on my birthday to find my dad dead on the kitchen floor.
By complete and utter coincidence I don't celebrate my birthday any more...
@anthracite Damn. I won't pretend that I can relate to something like what you experienced. But yeah, birthdays can be a thing for so many people and not always a good one. Thank you for sharing with me though.
