When I was in college me and some drunken fellows inflvented parkour not knowing that it already existed... we called it “extreme walking”.

I would do the music thing, but some of my recommendations would be songs that I really don’t like, but pretend to like in order to look cooler than I am.

@maloki I definitely try to remember to check my biases, but because of their nature I don’t always notice that they exist until I get called out for them.

As for adamant views, I try not to have those very often, I think I pick safe ones, tbh I’ve never gone back to check that vaccines are still good, or the moon landing happened.

Absolutely yes I keep going when I learn that I’m wrong! Of course scepticism can slow a person down at first, but if you have good sources...

Just killed my Chromebook and installed a Linux again, this time with a more comprehensive firmware replacement and GalliumOS because I couldn’t be arsed to install a “difficult” ‘nix

It’s strange to me that I no longer work in tech support. More than 9 years in the field... poof!

@garbados i wouldn’t call them mean, they’re more likely to charge a semi-truck or other vehicle (and win) than a person, but anger is their typical reaction to... anything

@starbreaker yeah, if I was a single computer or only-my-devices household a good hosts file would be adequate for sure. With a think like this I don’t have to worry so much about other machines that I don’t directly manage.
