@casey Wow! With all the fantasy I've read as a kid and adult, surprised I've never even heard of it. Thanks, will have to check it out.
@edwintorres Amaroq in the app store.
@casey OK, care to tell us the title? I could always use a new trilogy.
@dnlongen That is true of ANY email suggesting there is a problem with your account. (any account)
So, has anyone verified a celeb tooting? Curious to see how long it will be before there is adoption.
@Jefeg And hello to you too. How'd the perf go?
@Elex Racism! Wrote a mastodon to stop it, here it go! Free your timeline! And the rest will follow!
@Nezchan Must... resist.... innuendo!
@Nezchan OK, so what does it mean that my gender is apparently under construction?
@Adth Why? what's wrong with this one? I am free to be me now!!! Burns manzierre and runs off into the crowd...
Wow, not one of my twitter followers is on Mastadon.
@Puck I will freely admit, I still want that motorcycle. But this one would be the cycle of choice if written today. http://www.zapata.com/air-jet-crafts/
@Puck There is far too little modern cyberpunk these days. I long for days of old when Gibson was new and Snowcrash was fresh (not to mention a Diamond Age)
As companies adopt this as a platform, I almost think they should be forced to have their employees tweet official company business/social from a company run instance that then federates. This would allow us to identify that it really is the company, lowering phishing, but also not allow for as much spam from the company as well. Thoughts?
@tim I was thinking the same thing. This is the ultimate omnichannel support tool.
@derwinmcgeary Mine too, right up until it gets news time. Then I'll suddenly see follows from people I'm not in political, social alignment with. It's basically driven me out of the twitterverse. That and algorythmic timelines.
Is there a way to search for users across instances? Or does a search include all federated searches included with an instance?
@Frankenbeans Well, if you've been eating franks and beans, yeah, that's probably a bad idea. I guess it depends on which way the 'wind' is blowing.
So, how do we get the people we like on here without having to deal with family and [those] friends finding and following us? I miss the early days of twitter when I didn't have to worry about my social audience including parents, siblings, etc.
@JanCVanB Thanks!
