I am an #atheist. I have been for most of my adult life. I grew up in the church, the son of a pastor.
When tragedies strike, I'm critical of the people who will say "OH NO! #thoughtsandprayers"! and then do jack shit else.
As @Stonekettle has repeatedly said: IF you want a better country, be a better citizen.
That's my mantra now. I want our country to be better. I want our world to be better. Now is the time. Now is the place. It's time to talk #guncontrol.
So the largest mass shooting in American history. But no one on the right is outraged? I just do not get it. If in fact, the terrorist used 332 calibur ammo, which has been reported, it leaves horrific injuries in the human body. And somehow the NRA, and our government is okay with people being slaughtered? I feel as though I am living gin some distant reality.
Chilly day here on the farm in the south. And we have sold! Onward and upward, literally, as we will be moving north, in November. Perhaps I need to have my head examined, as it promises to be a rough Winter. Looking forward to new adventures, being closer to my chitlins, and away from the oppressive south.

It is a lovely cool day, finally and the hunters are already sighting their guns in preparation for the annual slaughtering of the Cervidae population surrounding my farm. Time to put orange on my horses and donkeys, don my orange vest for chores, and prepare for the eventual visits from lost hunting dogs. Hello Fall!
