Anyone know exactly what happened over at If a dumpster fire, how big and how many alarms?

I mean, if you don't want to play against me and the other bots then you're free to leave. That's no reason to hurl a homophobic slur for no real reason other than you're unhappy.

Just had a guy come on the same OpenArena server where I was playing with three bots (two after he joined). He asks "duel?" then about a minute later "or 1v1 ca". When I'm clearly happy honing my skills against bots after getting creamed earlier in the evening/morning. When I respond "I'm happy playing here" he responds "fag" and quits.

Okay, I'm curious, when did you guys first hear about/join Linux? Please boost for a wider data pool. :boost_love:

Everyone’s so impressed by someone who can fly a plane. Pffft, I’ve taken flying lessons, it doesn’t impress me that you can fly a plane.

You want to impress me? Land it

> Knight, seeing what the student was doing, spoke sternly: "You cannot fix a machine by just power-cycling it with no understanding of what is going wrong."
> Knight turned the machine off and on.
> The machine worked.

Radio broadcasting. I spent four years in college broadcasting on the radio and it was something I deeply enjoyed. Sharing music, connecting with listeners (such that we had for 1,000 watts of bursting college FM. You could even hear is in Borculo), and just spending time in a studio exploring music. Absolutely magical time, and I hope that while the medium has become a commercial hellscape of inoffensive music that radio can once again become dangerous and unpredictable.

@hierarchon Doom Eternal was so far up its own ass about Being Doom while often missing the point about what is fun about playing Doom, imo

Post-Postscript. Let’s go back to the original Archos Jukebox for a sec. Notice how the sides are rounded/tubular?

That’s because that is where the batteries went. It ran on four plain old rechargeable AA batteries. So when the batteries finally couldn’t hold a charge anymore, you didn’t have to throw the whole gadget away; you just popped out the old batteries, popped in four fresh ones, and off you went.

We live in a world full of disposable devices. This was something different.

Does anybody care about link rot these days? The latest tweet/toot/post is all that matters, right?

I have a nifty little plug-in on my WordPress blog that finds broken links among my ~6K posts. And, yes, I check 'em. 90 sec screencast...
