@silverspookgames even in the neoliberal UK authorities will often turn a blind eye to people recovering food from skips provided there isn't any mess or disturbance, if the cops are called its not treated as a priority (so by the time they arrive everyone is long gone) and there's 0 way that armed units would be deployed - some supermarket managers where I used to live turned off the security light so the neighbours couldn't see anyone getting in the skips >>

@silverspookgames you do get authorities "expressing concern" about unlicensed food sales especially since the pandemic and people also running takeaways from their houses but hardly anyone ever gets in trouble for it as long as their customers don't get unwell or they are causing traffic problems (and TBH both of those issues can happen with a fully licenced venue)
