I wonder at what point literature classes will not read Camus' "L'Etranger" as an exploration of existentialism, but as a cautionary tale of white-male privilege.
Or... has this already happened? It's been a hot minute since I was in school.
@Latkes Oh! I read about this book yesterday right before I posted!
The Stranger is a mildly interesting existential journey if you take it out of gender, race, political context. But it may end up being way more fascinating in hindsight with those contexts in mind.
