Eurovision is a fun evening... Politics makes it shit. SuRie lost no votes by being stage invaded. She lost points because of Brexit. Its cool to hate the UK right now.
As to Israel being appropriate... Well, it seems most of Europe disagree... I dunno... I'm in two minds myself.
But no British person has a right to accuse anyone else of cultural appropriation, much as we might be experts on the subject.
