Being nonbinary doesn't have to complicated.

You're not required to have a precise label, certain style, or to have figured it out at a specific time. You don't have to wait to use the label "nonbinary," and you don't have to keep it forever.

These are rules created by cishets and repeated by those who want their approval. All those and similar rules are best forgotten.

If you feel like "nonbinary" fits you, then you are correct to use it.

Hey,

I've decided to offer myself up as a voice coach for trans people who need it free/cheap.

No matter what you desire to work towards, you come to me as a friend I would like to help be comfy. Whether that be feminising, masculinising, or a voice made of various different elements :)

We will do exercises, talk about posture, be hydrated, apply it to real life, and I promise to tailor things to meet your needs.

I will do this over discord. DM me if you fancy this.

Boosts appreciated

I used to be one of those โ€œwords have to mean thingsโ€ assholes until I remembered that all language 1. Is defined by culture 2. Changes over time with culture and 3. Labels are individualistic and shouldnโ€™t serve to be shorthand for cishets to be able to put us in boxes

"Well, I'm sure if you talk to me in person, you'll find that I'm not such a bad person"

What, the fact that being polite is something that most people are socialised to do in most circumstances? Real fucking revelation.

You ever notice how much patience and understanding is given to white folks who go full racist after having a bad experience two with someone Black, but Black folks are expected to give white people the benefit of the doubt despite the hundreds of years of oppression and inequality trends that *always* favor white folks.

Ha, but were TERRIBLE if we tend to be cautious around white people.

Funny how that works.

one of my favourite parts of trans spaces is seeing the diversity of people - "gender conforming" binary people, "nonconforming" binary people, and enbies of all flavours, all accepting each others' identities

shello boosted

trans isn't a gender, and unless the person says so, should not be seen as part of their gender identity

if you perceive a gender difference between a trans man and a cis man, or a trans woman and a cis woman, or an AMAB enby and an AFAB enby, you're transphobic

ideally people should just stop assigning and assuming genders altogether, and encourage self-determination

(good) trans spaces do that, and that's why they're so awesome

it empowers everyone, even cis people
