@gargron @tether Can't we just say that the threat model of DMs on mastodon is similar to e-mail ("postcards") and leave it at that? I'm mostly here to publish in some capacity anyways. The main value of mastodon in my book is that nobody is trying to sell my eyeballs/attention.
