Yoku's Island Express is my new favorite Switch game. Nice to finally have something to play on it again.

For some reason my almost 4 year old daughter decided to clearly enunciate the name "Prendergast" several times at the dinner table tonight with no explanation. She seemed to consider this highly amusing.

In any case, it was probably time to introduce the kids to Teddy Pendergrass. Even if the name doesn't quite fit.

Man, Valerian is not a good movie. Bad casting, lazy, retrograde writing... it has a bit of the visual flair of the Fifth Element but none of the anything else.

New guideline for checking if your kid's movie is just about over: if there's a giant anime pillar of light that figures are ascending into, should be done within five minutes or so.

That said, I just read an article that really does a great job of explaining why some places don't take reservations. I guess it's just the people who wait four hours for an oyster bar that confuse me.

I mean, except for Eventide where the line spills into the street and makes the sidewalk impassible for the entire summer.

I'd like to thank all the fine restaurants who charge more than $30 for an entree but don't take reservations; you have effectively quarantined the people who make poor life choices or don't see time as valuable, leaving more space on city streets for me.

Man, I have tried and tried and I really do not like the Scott Pilgrim movie. I wish I did. I like the comic, and I like Edgar Wright.

Well, I ended up just reinstalling SMB 1.0 because... uh... ride or die? I can't find an SMB 2 app on Android that actually works for what I need.

F1 is very relaxing to watch except when someone decides to turn their car into a cloud of rubber and carbon fiber.

Lordy. Nothing like a crash live when the feed is on first person view to wake you up in the morning. Not even a bad one.

Currently watching F1 while the kids play well together. Unsettlingly well.

I guess SMB1 isn't to be used anymore, but I'm having a hell of a time finding a good app to automatically sync files from Android to Windows 10 using SMBv2.
