@talon My assumption is most people use follower count as a factor in deciding whether or not to follow someone. Is that also what we'd use mutuals count for? Seems like that might also have some problems, e.g. echo chambers.
@filkerdave Yeah, migrate and stay. Active members (not just members) seems pretty critical to social networks surviving. Everyone's active when they first join, but will we keep it up until new energy arrives?
I'm skeptical Mastodon will make it beyond early adopters, but I'm also a late early adopter.
