I had the fabulous idea of generating 108 text fragments through a complete graph, so n vertices plus n * (n - 1)/2 edges (as textual interpolations). Sadly that doesn't boil down to an integer number of vertices.

Now thinking I should do 14 vertices and 91 edges, and three "liberated" blobs. :thounking:

i had an interesting dream about the 'plugin' structure of a software. these thing, computational stuff, becomes very tangible and physical in dreams, they become objects in our hands that we can turn around or that become entangled with material layers, that's very revealing of our understanding of the algorithmic (imo).

noted that down, and it may become part of a catalogue text i have been thinking about for a while.

going back to slumber. 😪

CALL - Reminder + Extended Deadline - Thresholds of the - @

Taking place in June 2018 in Bergen, NO. Deadline February 23. Details: almat.iem.at/call2018.html

Implementing a `FoldLeft` AST element with arguments disallowing lambdas but catching regular function argument as another AST is incredibly difficult, in terms of correctly representing the recursion when interpreting the AST. I stared at this for at least a week, I feel my brain capabilities are insufficient to solve this :-/

Last week to apply for the June workshop on 'Thresholds of the Algorithmic' at Bergen Center for Electronic Art: almat.iem.at/call2018.html

Also didn't get the original tone, although now the mix of reds doesn't look that bad. New can is 'tornado red' and not too far from the original which I guess was carmine. octodon.social/media/QWIuVTKoj

Spraypainting some cables red; started with a 250ml ecological can, very nice because you don't inhale fumes or get headache, but they didn't solve the vaporisation, so you get randomly sized blots all over the place; now switched to standard professional paint, super smooth experience, but the room smells and I got headache. 😖

Somebody uploaded music to YouTube which comes from a CD, and at some point there are the skipping sounds of the CD player. Gosh, haven't heard those in years, as I rarely use the CD player these days.

Woah. Just watched a video on youtube about the slowest music humanly possible and learned of a performance of John Cage - Organ2/ASLSP (As SLow aS Possible) that will last until the year 2640! It started in 2001 and every time the note changes, people make a pilgrimage to the small German town of Halberstadt to hear the note being played.

Experimenting with a couple of kilograms porcelain - super exciting. I'll have to learn how to handle, mould and burn it correctly, though. octodon.social/media/Ao4Mkk-ZY

Today, there are molecules of burned sugar in the air.
