Perhaps the most ambitous piece - Pierre Huyghe "After ALife Ahead". Beautiful installation in a former ice skating rink. Perhaps a few elements too much (the aquarium and the "augmented reality" app), but probably my overall favourite.

Actually not in my list of favourites, but I find noteworthy of Hito Steyerl's HellYeahWeFuckDie is that the director of the bank (Landesbausparkasse) was probably so prudish that they had to tacitly cover the word "fuck"

I wasn't very good making photos at #SP17 Skulptur.Projekte. Anyway, here come some of my favs…
Aram Bartholl, 3V and 5V. The only drop of bitterness: The artist accommodates the possibility to charge an iPhone, but did not forsee that I would come around with my beloved Nokia :-/ https://octodon.social/media/TExKbdZJkltFco0UwNc https://octodon.social/media/GYtXKqukcoxyXK6M9mc https://octodon.social/media/f39ytGMIdIMsmFK9vW0

These arrived from China - I hope they're fine, some of the soldering looks sloppy, but they all have QC stickers :-/ I bought the cheapest ones, I feel bad, exploitation etc., but that's the reality of art projects, it looks like we'll only get around 2/3 of the planned budget, so cutting the board costs by half will be a requirement... https://octodon.social/media/0Qb6fHJHwiy1OeWSLck

"But what's the problem?" - indeed, what's the problem? You can imagine the slight cultural shock that could be felt in that session. #Algorithms #xCoAx https://octodon.social/media/QISS8LE4P3xCuVXjChc
Did my #xCoAx talk on "The Temporality of (un|non)selection", causing some provocation—I take that as a good sign. Frieder Nake was upset at new mysticism surrounding #algorithms; I don't recall ever subscribing to such mysticism, but mere thought that algorithms could go beyond their narrow computer scientifical definition (that, BTW, is not undisputed) caused some allergic reactions :-O
And LaTeX decided to change pipe in title to dash :) https://octodon.social/media/ar__wLYB_QKI9LsZCtI
Hello #Lisboa! We're up and running #InnerSpace at the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado (#MNAC), this week during #xCoAx. https://octodon.social/media/TM7GGWJHwG-gJ3P36WM
I always felt that the "peripheries" piece (3 video scores of 60 seconds) of my Miniatures15 work should be expanded to an autonomous video piece. Rendering new materials now to be included in the "Inner Space" showing at xCoAx (provided it looks good as a five-channel piece). https://octodon.social/media/4em6-WMFHTh-w_zEfA4
In the honour of David Lynch, here's a photo I took (a year ago) from a nano microscopy. https://octodon.social/media/LQJEs0kagYfjA6wLO-A
Just over a week till #xCoAx. We're showing a 5-channel miniature screen version of the #InnerSpace videos from #ImperfectReconstruction. Today we did the first wood frame, the effect of having the 8x8 cm square of high-density pixels surrounded by a 8cm border (thus 1/9 of the surface) is very interesting (haven't seen it painted black yet). https://octodon.social/media/E_w7T3NLnxPM9XPX4i8

Catalogue presentation and concert at esc. The four channel piece "Cracks" on our square screens with oscillators scanning images which are paired with the loudspeakers worked surprisingly well, although the piece was put together in a day; people liked it a lot; too bad I didn't do a recording (I might actually recover from the Mellite session)

Finally got to do the voice recording I wanted to do already a week back. Now replacing my voice for the other. I like how the sonogrammes are very similar but with subtle differences. I'll have to make a project with this at some point. https://octodon.social/media/RjBSYLtfFWMdcTZ_HZg
