have we ever related the term "feature extraction" to extractivism?
@sciss in the sense that abstracting objective affordances from an environmental field is a way of figuring the field in terms of its use value? I think I did read it somewhere, possibly Timothy Morton in Dark Ecology. Could also be in N Kathryn Hayles, Unthought. Massumi & Manning idea of entrainment vs entertainment might be related. But then you could almost go all the way through to Bergson (not that I'd mind).
