do i know anyone who uses an ergodox, or keyboard.io thing, or similar? do you like it? do you hate it? is it good for some things but not, say, vim and web browsing?
i'm not sure i need a new keyboard (i really love my WASD CODE keyboard, but i also don't know a lot about keyboards), but it's something i'm thinking about because parts of my hands and wrists feel not-great sometimes.

Cox adds a nice reminder: "Password hashes are cryptographic representations of passwords, meaning companies don’t have to store the actual password itself, although, depending on the algorithm used, hackers may still be able to crack them."

@schlink On Apple? Anything with 3D graphics. Games, rendering apps, etc. Even some 2D stuff- Dwarf Fortress and DOSBOX both use it.
I need some help from the #tech people. We may need a new computer in the not too distant future. My wife would like a #laptop. We're not heavy users, just web browsing, Skype, & watching a few movies. We don't really need a #notebook for taking places, just something smallish in our tiny apartment.
Assuming longevity and problem-free use is paramount, what brands or specs do you recommend? (However, it can't be Apple, and it has to run Windows.)
