What music player do y'all like best for Linux (Ubuntu + GNOME)? I've got a lot of songs, organized as iTunes organized them. Looking for a simple player I thing, but a GUI.
I'm giving Clementine a try, and I know Lollypop is one to maybe check out?
@schlink ncmpcpp! failing that, audacious bc it's very winamp 2
@schlink Quod Libet in album list mode is brilliant.
@schlink not GUI, but i really like moc (mocp on some systems). i like it so much i wrote a halfassed clone of it as a frontend to mplayer.
i also used to use amarok, but i think you have to install a lot of kde/qt deps to use it, i don't remember.
@schlink Here's a new one for ya: https://github.com/KeitIG/museeks
@schlink I don't know what the current state of the art is, but I always liked quodlibet: https://quodlibet.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
@schlink I wrote one a long time ago, that I still use, but I don't think anyone else does ;-) http://gssmp.sourceforge.net/
@schlink Audacious. Simple and does the music playing very well.
@schlink if not cmus then quod libet
@schlink
My favorite was #amarok, years ago. But later I switched to #Clementine (which I recommend) or moc (music on console).
Now, maybe for the last two years, I listen all music with Spotify or streaming Websites.
@schlink I couldn’t get clementine to work so I use quod libet. Does the job. 🤷♂️
