Been having trouble sleeping the past few nights. Only just realizing it may be due to the default Redshift settings not being “warm” enough. Makes me feel like a robot a bit...

Sam Schlinkert @schlink

gonna try dropping Redshift's Night temperature to 3000 and Night Brightness to 0.80.

What are your Redshift settings?

@schlink day 5000, night 4500, no brightness reduction here. Though I do have the monitor itself on 23% brightness constantly. When I need more brightness I use ddcutil to set the brightness with one command. That just requires a good graphics card (i.e. not NoVideo, dunno about nouveau) and loading the i2c-dev kernel module. I guess it'd be cool if Redshift could control brightness via DDC/CI itself
