@Brenton I had an iPhone 4, 4s, 5s, 6s. I have a Google Pixel now for about 6 months, I will never go back. There is so much I could expand on, ask me something if you want, but yeah the plunge is worth it I think.

@Salomao I agree, I had mine setup through Docker, I just spun a VM up on Digital Ocean, but I tapped out. One I like the community I am in here, two I didn't have such a broad reaching topic to justify a whole instance. Three, I am working on other stuff now, and didn't want to half ass the administration and let my users down. I think it would be a great idea for someone to start this, charge a small monthly fee and toss some money back into Masto.

@purplehippo Why? Do both, but just improve how they work. Like say federated but with channels or something, or keep instances and improve the federation. Nothing is black and white, anything is possible.

@glitter Everyone fits in, because you only don't fit if you think in terms of shapes and molds. We are all just different forms of energy and vibration. There is bad and good energy, not too be too much of a dork, but it's allot like Star Wars :relaxed:

@brwarner I used to feel that way. I was in a bubble in my teens and twenties. Then I started blending mainstream news with alternative sources, and that when I got a little more incite into what is happening. You're right though we will never know the entire story, I firmly believe only a select few have that kind of access.

@schestowitz Financially, by targeting of global trade interests, and oil perhaps. Militarily, in Eastern /Central Europe, Scandinavia first. It's already happening in Denmark, Germany, and France. It's why I am a firm believer of using technology to aggressively track people migrating across any border, if I have to give up privacy for freedom, I'm afraid I am leaning that way if it means my three daughters would be free from physical harm. Sometimes you have to pick a side.

@schestowitz Oh man :relaxed: you are cheeky prompting me with that simple response and 500 characters at my helm! I agree 100%, but I also know the suffocation of any new alternative fuel technology is done for money, plain and simple. I mean Robert Stirling among others made these advancements 200 years ago. Everything boils down to money and power. In addition to monetary gains think about power. What would western society do if the entire middle east united against us?

@JillianMaywhether My take. The media is spinning Mastodon "the twitter killer", most of the users, not all granted, but most I have read, simply state why Mastodon is a better alternative. Twitter will die, maybe not because of Mastodon, but because it's model and functionality is flawed, and it has outlasted itself.

@rms Agree! I vote also for a single payer system. It's time.
