I'm really frustrated that all the PCBs that are newer and Arduino compatible that I've been wanting to use for this project all have less storage than a board from 2014. Hopefully I can use the SD card slot on one of them to store the program.
Just realized that I had all but one part in stock for the Tamaguino project (the breadboard version) so I ordered an OLED display from @adafruit. Now, I can at least play with it a little bit before I try to miniaturize it.
I just found a guide for making a virtual pet/tamagotchi clone using Arduino. Now I wish I had the skill to make a Digimon clone.
Perhaps I'll just try building the Tamaguino for a project at least.

We also wanted to have my in-laws move in with us. We could sell our house and get a much larger one there for around $100k less than what our house in Portland is worth currently.
I'm usually the one to go all in on things and then give up or not think of the details, but my wife told me that she's already left Portland in her mind.
So, I hope that I get this job so we can move.
If I end up getting this remote job, my wife and I decided to move from Portland, OR to St. Paul, MN.
We looked into cities that were both affordable and have features we like (good beer, cool things to do). And Minneapolis/St. Paul seemed to fit the bill.
