My former roommates are all hanging out tonight and I think they invited me but I forgot. I feel like a terrible friend. But they also didnโt remind me...idk I just feel like Iโve drifted so far away from them and itโs not a good feeling.

Last night I started #GetOnOurLawn, aimed at *established* Mastodon people, to help make it a nicer place for newbies. Here's an incomplete summary:
- Use hashtags, so new folks have something to find.
- Report bugs and request features, so new people have a good first impression usability-wise.
- Report people that newbies shouldn't have to deal with.
- Be encouraging when new people propose good ideas.
- If you don't have anything nice/encouraging to say to someone, just don't say anything!
