... In Mastodon, how does one Boost with a comment?
@davidpgil that's not currently implemented. I guess you could boost and reply or add the URL of a toot into your own and leave it up to the client to decide how to display it

The best method currently is to boost, then reply, removing the mention. It's conventional to start the reply with "LB".
Antipattern; boost, then post top level toot with LB.
