tbh tooter needs distributed data and the ability to move instance in case one goes down
@Nash you can export your entire account (including people who you follow) and move it to another instance in your settings. Not sure how it behaves with followers
@Nash recovering followers would be hard but I can imagine that it's quite possible to recover your "toots" by pulling together all of the data from another instance where one of your followers lives.
@robinjanssens not really an option if your instance goes down and losing followers is an issue regardless
